MARTINSVILLE, VA — Patrick & Henry Community College Athletics has named Jessica Morrison as the next head coach of the Patriots volleyball program.

Morrison joins the Patriots after serving as a Health and Physical Education teacher at Bassett High School since 2008. During her time with Henry County Public Schools, she has coached in several assistant coaching roles, including volleyball, basketball, and softball.

"Jessica has demonstrated a passion for teaching and mentoring young people throughout her career," said Director of Athletics and Student Engagement, Brandon Johnson. "We're excited to welcome her to Patrick & Henry Community College and look forward to supporting her as she begins her first opportunity to lead a collegiate volleyball program."

Morrison earned an Associate of Science degree from Patrick Henry Community College before completing her Bachelor of Science in Exercise, Sport and Health Education at Radford University.

In addition to her work in education and coaching, Morrison volunteers as a CrossFit Kids Coach at CrossFit276, where she helps introduce youth to fitness, confidence, and healthy lifestyles.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to join Patrick & Henry Community College and lead the volleyball program," Morrison said. "I look forward to working with our student-athletes and helping them grow both on and off the court."

Morrison will begin her duties immediately as the Patriots prepare for the upcoming season.
