Guilford Tech regained momentum in the second inning with four runs and continued to add on throughout the afternoon. Freshman Brayden Winters delivered a two-run double in the frame, while Elijah Grant added an RBI triple and Ashton Fernandez followed with an RBI double.

The Titans tacked on two more runs in the fifth on a two-run homer by Brock Welch before a five-run sixth inning put the game out of reach. Ashton Fernandez doubled in two runs in the inning, sophomore Bryce Meachem added an RBI double, and Trey Costner launched a two-run home run to center.

Redshirt freshman Ryan Torres (RS-Fr., Cape Coral, Fla.) got the start on the mound for the Patriots, working three innings and striking out two.
